Haggen Premier GelatoFive new exciting flavors including:Pistachio, Triple Chocolate, Cappuccino, Vanilla Bean and Coconut  We’ve recently discovered a wonderful Italian gelato, handcrafted using recipes over a century old. Family recipes made from the fresh cream and milk of the Parma region, famous for Parmesan Reggiano cheese. In the heart of the region lies the small town of Cavriago and the Olivi family, who have been making this wonderful Italian treat which started from their store front “Bottega della Panna” (vanilla shop) in 1950. The legend of their product reached far and wide and they began to expand the flavors and styles which we are pleased to bring to your table in our Haggen Premier label.
Gelato is different than ice cream in that it contains less cream, and is slow turned during the freezing process which eliminates the ice crystals and reduces air content resulting in an amazingly smooth texture.
We loved this product so much we arranged to import it from Italy last summer in 8 fantastic flavors. Our customers loved it so much we ran out in two weeks! After quickly going back to our friends in Italy, we brought in more and are now excited to expand our offering.
